Schneiderman is an independent consultant on the management of processes.
This website tells you about him and his consulting activities and provides
online access to his many business publications. It also includes additional
discussion of some of the concepts he's developed including the Half-life
Method for goal setting and diagnosis and the 7-Steps of Process Management,
an integrated approach to process improvement that includes ISO 9000 (a
valuable tool for knowledge management), reengineering, performance
measurement (metrics), control (SQC and SPC), and Total Quality Management
(TQM). Also, he was there when the first balanced scorecard (BSC) was created
in 1987 at Analog Devices and later widely promoted by Robert Kaplan and David
Norton, so there is a description of its origins and early history, as well as
his current thinking on this subject. In the Art of Process Management
section, he periodically posts short essays on subjects relating to Process
Management. Links are provided to other directly related sites including
